Stuffed Green Pepper Recipe
After all the hard work of growing your peppers, you just have
to eat a few with this recipe. As with any recipe you can add more
or less of any of the ingredients. You can also leave some out or
add some of your own.
Ingredients:
4 Medium Green, Red, Orange or Yellow Peppers
1 lb Ground Beef or Pork
1/2 Cup Cooked Rice
1/2 Finely chopped onions
12 oz. Tomato Sauce or spaghetti sauce
1 tsp. salt
Optional: Add a little hot sauce to spice it up
Directions: Combine cooked ground beef and rice in frying pan add
tomato sauce, onions and salt. Heat until sauce starts to boil (med
heat)
Cut tops off Peppers and clean out the inside of the pepper. (Can
also be cut vertically in half) Rinse peppers under cold water.
Stuff Peppers with meat and rice mixture. Put the top of the pepper
back on and cook at 350 degrees for 35 min or until well baked on
top.
Optional: With 5 minutes left on the timer sprinkle bread crumbs
then place shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese on top.
